Travel Baby Buggy - Phil & Teds 3 Wheeler

These pushchairs are a top notch, awesome baby buggy. We have one and we love it, even its faults. I'll explain....

The Positives
  • Are simple to use and are very comfortable for infants through to toddlers.
  • Can take both a baby and a toddler together with the doubling kit.
  • Will cope with the most extreme of terrains effortlessly - great tyres/wheels.
  • The accessory range is vast and top quality - rain covers, uv shades (excellent black out feature for sleeping), panniers, cocoons (the infant carry case that is a must have!), sleeping bags.

The Negatives
  • Unfortunately they are large, both when open and packed away (although, not as huge as double width buggies – a Phil and Teds fits neatly through a single shop door).
  • They are quite heavy to lift into the boot of your car compared to the little town strollers. But then, that is the compromise for awesome off road abilities.

Off travelling with your family, if you are happy to put yours in its bag and in the hold, or to lose half your car boot space for the other benefits this buggy provides, then join the club – we have loved ours.

We often regretted leaving ours at home whilst abroad – we felt the hardship of packing it away at the airport and any extra bag allowance issues would have been a small price to pay for the use of it at the destination.

TOP TIPS FOR FLYING WITH YOUR PHIL & TEDS

Firstly, check in advance that you will not be penalised a luggage bag or weight. Many (greedy) airlines consider this a standard suitcase and will add it to your total or charge you for the extra! Double check the baggage allowance Terms and Conditions.

Secondly, practice putting it in the caddy bag before your holiday. It requires disassembly of the wheels and particular placement of items in the caddy bag – not something you want to be doing for the first time in the queue for check in!
